Many moods of the sea in Kannur - Payyambalam Beach

Staying in a beach house is a totally different ball game. This visit pertains to staying at a beach house at Payyambalam Beach, Kannur, Kerala.

With close proximity to a beach, you have many options available to you. This would of course match with your area of interest be it photography, beach runs/walks, just loitering around with friends and family, sea food at various shacks, having fun in the water, observing sea life - be it hermit crabs hopping around to watching out for that occasional jelly fish.

My area of interest was to capture the moods of the Arabian sea, in myriads of light conditions
The roseate sky appealed to me the most, especially the kind of background it provided and at times automatically highlighting the foreground.

Isnt it just fascinating how different the beach looks in different times of the day, all the permutations and combinations of colors that are possible. Yet no color in nature has ever seem to be out of place to me.

There is something so soothing about sea waves crashing and lulling you to sleep. No one ever goes disappointed from the lap of nature

On our way to Payyambalam Beach

Finally reached the beach house, resting in the balcony, with my feet up!!!!!!

Our room

Sun 'n' Tan- is a basic beach house. No frills and fancies and feels a bit isolated. Nestled away in a fishing village, but then this is what we wanted. I guess each to his own.

Vast deserted expanse of the sea

Pristine sandy beach and not a soul in sight in the evening- loving it

Discovered a star fish

There are other beach houses along this beach which have the look of resorts

Star fish galore

The feel good factor at the beach
