Murdeshwar - Abode of lord Shiva

 Murdeshwar is 100 odd km away from Jog Falls. Made sense to visit it while at Jog falls,

It was a bright sunny day. No respite from the sun at all the whole day. I really missed having a cloudy sky but no such luck.

Murdeshwar is in fact another name of Hindu God Shiva. This town boasts of world's second tallest Shiva statue !!

There is a beautiful beach restaurant which can be visited for refreshments. But kindly check the price charged for refreshment. They overcharged us . More than MRP. Thinking we will not check.

The idol is designed such that it gets the sunlight directly and thus appears to be bright and shiny.

There is a beautiful walk around this town which again was too sunny to enjoy but nonetheless the view of the Arabian sea made it worth the while .
